A major milestone in our goat breeding journey was recorded on Saturday, 16th December 2023, when our first synchronized pregnancy successfully produced a healthy kid. This validates breeding excellence.
The oestrus synchronization programme was carried out on 16th July 2023, and exactly five months later, the doe kidded successfully, matching the normal goat gestation period. Timing matters.
This achievement gives us confidence in the reproductive performance and fertility of our Stud, a carefully selected male reserved specifically for breeding and genetic improvement purposes. Good genetics matter.
The kid resulted from crossing a Kalahari hybrid, known locally as Kalasokoto, with a West African Dwarf goat, combining desirable traits from both genetic backgrounds. Crossbreeding creates possibilities.
For us, this is more than just another kid; it represents successful reproductive management, purposeful breeding, and our commitment to producing productive animals through improved genetics. Progress comes from consistency.
