MONEY CAN START A FARM, BUT EXPERTISE MAKES IT PROFITABLE

August 10, 2026

Money can establish a farm, but money alone cannot guarantee success. Agribusiness requires practical knowledge, experience, proper management, discipline, and informed decision making. Expertise matters.

Many farms admired online may appear successful, yet their financial realities remain unknown. Large investments do not automatically translate into profitability, sustainability, or efficiency. Look deeper.

Agriculture involves risks that inexperienced investors may underestimate. Poor management, inadequate feeding, disease outbreaks, weak records, and wrong decisions can quickly consume substantial capital. Knowledge protects.

The Nigerian agribusiness community is relatively interconnected, and experienced practitioners often understand what happens beyond impressive social media pictures and publicity. Appearances can deceive inexperienced farmers.

Smallholder and medium scale farmers should not despise their current progress because another farmer appears bigger online. Contentment, continuous learning, patience, and ambition build lasting success.

Use every farming season as an opportunity to improve your knowledge, strengthen management, understand your numbers, and dream bigger. Money may open doors, but expertise sustains success.
