PUNCTUALITY IS THE SOUL OF BUSINESS

August 09, 2026

In business, time is more than a schedule; it represents professionalism, respect, preparation, and commitment. Late service can damage trust before work starts. Reliability matters.

Nigeria presents challenges, from traffic to poor roads, but difficult conditions make punctuality more important. Professionals must plan ahead, especially for appointments. Preparation prevents excuses.

Years ago, an engineer arrived at my farm around 5 pm for a project scheduled earlier. By evening, he rushed, and service suffered. Timing matters.

I travelled from Ibadan to Lagos before dawn for an 8 am appointment, arriving early. My client was amazed. I told her, Trust me, ma.

That engineer worked until evening, completed less than forty percent, then left because of his journey home. Another engineer arrived next morning and completed everything.

Was I wrong for refusing transportation payment after the provider disrupted my plan? Clients deserve timely, satisfactory service. Punctuality protects reputation, relationships, and business success.
