WHY TEACHING IS LOSING ITS BEST MINDS

August 04, 2026

A growing number of schools struggle to recruit qualified teachers despite increasing graduate numbers. This worrying trend threatens educational standards and demands urgent attention from everyone. Strong teachers build strong nations.

Many education graduates now avoid classrooms because teaching offers limited financial security, poor career growth, and little recognition. Passion alone cannot sustain professionals facing daily hardship. Respect should match responsibility.

Teachers produce every professional society celebrates, yet their contributions remain undervalued. When dedicated educators leave the profession, students lose experienced mentors, weakening the foundation of national development. Quality education begins with valued teachers.

If this shortage continues, schools may depend on unqualified personnel, reducing learning quality and harming future generations. Governments must improve teachers’ welfare, salaries, and professional dignity immediately. Investing in teachers secures tomorrow.
